media on the outcomes of the Council of Education Ministers (CEM) meeting

The Minister of Education Mrs Naledi Pandor and the Provincial MECs of
Education, will on Monday, 17 September 2007, at 12h45 brief the media about
the outcomes of the Council of Education Ministers meeting at Cullinan Hotel in
Cape Town.
The meeting will among other issues discuss the following:

* provincial state of readiness for the Senior Certificate Examination
* draft National Policy Framework on the organisation, roles and

to Schools.

* mass literacy campaign
* Quality Improvement, Development and Support Upliftment Programme in
provinces

* schools' Infrastructure Report for July 2007
