African Union of Students (SAUS) national conference, University of Free State,

The Minister of Education, Mrs. Naledi Pandor will on Sunday, 1 July 2007,
at 10h00, deliver the keynote address at the First National Conference of the
South African Union of Student (SAUS), to be held at the University of Free
State in Bloemfontein.
The theme of the conference is, "Compulsory Community Engagement, Our
Obligation, Free Quality Public Higher Education A Reality," and starts on
Saturday, 30 June 2007 to 5 July 2007.
A total of about 120 delegates comprising members of the Student
Representative Councils of universities, local and international student
political organisations as well as youth organisations are expected to attend
the conference.
SAUS was launched in April 2006 at Stellenbosch University with the main
objective of protecting and advancing the interest of students regardless of
race, religion, political affiliation and ideology.
