We are very grateful to have Unified Data (UD)and Muhle-Majorshelf
consortium as partners, very elated that they have delivered on their mandate
to provide us with high tech that is intended to enlighten us. We are saying,
through your efforts our communications component will be able to guide and
nurture our people on one thing that we should all hold dear, our health.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are living in the information age. Every effort is
now expanded to ensure that our communities are on the know about services that
the government offers, systems are being put in place to ensure that illiteracy
is eradicated from the face of our province and the Department of Health is out
in force to promote healthy lifestyles.

SinguMnyango sithathe isinqumo sokuthi zonke izikhungo zethu zizoba nazo
lezizinda zokuthekelisa ngolwazi.

Lapha sifuna ukuthi abantu uma besalinde ukubonwa ngodokotela baqale bathole
ulwazi ngezifo ezahlukene, bazi nanokuthi lezizifo zivikeleka futhi zilapheka
kanjani. Siyanxusa ukuthi wonke umuntu awasebenzise lama kiosks ngoba analo
ulwazi nge tuberculosis (TB), nge HIV and AIDS. Ngokuhamba kwesikhathi sizobuye
sifake nezithombe zama video phakathi ezizokhumbisa ukuthi umntwana uma
esemncane kufanele agezwe kanjani kanye nokunye.

Into ke esiphethe kabi ukuthi kumanje nje kulesifunda sibhekene nengwadla
yokulwisana ne TB. I World Health Organisation (WHO) isiveze I TB njengesifo

kwabangu 53 esikhathini esingaphansi kwenyanga ibangenile.

Bambisanani nathi ekulwiseni nokubhebhetheka kwezifo.

It may sound ironical that we have to spell it out on the hospital grounds
that the Department of Health does not want to see sick people. It remains our
firm belief that prevention is always better than cure and that indeed, many
illnesses can be prevented if all of us can just follow a few healthy
habits.

The service we are here to launch today requires that we move away from the
comfort of our bad habits and adopt healthy living.

It just requires a little effort from all of us to prevent chronic diseases
and curb the spread of communicable or infectious diseases ravaging our
communities.

You will agree with us that some of the good habits that need to be adhered
to do not cost us a cent but go a long way in ensuring that we remain healthy
and live longer:

Exercise regularly

Make sure that you get about 30 minutes of physical activity once a day,
believe us, it's a real stress buster

Avoid smoking tobacco

Know that smoking causes many cancers and heart disease. It also increases
lung diseases and is dangerous to unborn babies and reduces fertility.

Masingasondeli nakuzidakamizwa, ziyabulala, zisenza sintshontshe, ziqeda
imali, zihlukanisa zixabanise nemindeni

Use alcohol carefully and sensible

If you can help it, please do not drink at all.

Bomama do not drink alcohol when you are pregnant, help us to help you in
bringing a healthy bouncing baby into the world.

Izinkinga zotshwala ekuhlukaniseni imindeni siyazazi sonke.

Engage in safer sex

HIV and AIDS has become such a major concern that none of us can ignore the
importance of safer sex. There are also many other sexually transmitted
infections (STIs) that are preventable through the correct use of condoms.
People should know that most STIs are curable, but if not early attended to,
they can have lasting effects in terms of infertility or be detrimental to
unborn babies.

Follow the rules of good hygiene:

* geza izandla uma uphuma endlini yangasese
* geza izandla ngaphambi kokuba uthinte ukudla
* amazinyo wageze kabili ngosuku
* ukudla kanye namanzi makuqikelelwe ukuthi akungenwa ngamagciwane
* zigcine uhlanzekile kwawena.
* sebenzisana nathi kulwiswana nokubhebhetheka kwe Cholera, typhoid fever kanye
ne tuberculosis
* support the sick in our midst to visit our health institutions. Let us also
encourage them to take medication as advised and prescribed
* Umuntu one TB uma sihlala naye engayilaphi, nakanjani nathi izosingena

Masigqugquzelaneni ukuyokwenza ama check-up adingekayo ngokweminyaka kanye
nobulili bethu, i.e pap smear
* eat as healthily as possible

* nciphisa ekudleni okunamafutha

Masiphinde silwele ukuvuselela imindeni, obaba babambisane nomama
ekukhuliseni izingane ngendlela.

Abantwana bethu mabazi ukuthi akubulali ukungalwenzi ucansi, they must
strive to delay sexual activity.

Kubantu bakithi abahleli emakhaya ngiyanxusa ukuthi baqale basebenzise
amathuba avezwe intando yeningi kahulumeni wabantu. Ezibhedlela zethu kuningi
thina esikudingayo nesesithathe isinqumo sokuthi sizokuthenga kuma
co-operatives asezindaweni lapho kukhona khona izikhungo zethu. Amathuba
avulekile.
Masisukume Sakhe.
