Gauteng MEC for Housing Nomvula Mokonyane will launch one of the 10 women
owned construction company projects in Sedibeng tomorrow, Thursday, 15 February
2007. The project, the Tshepong Proper project, will deliver 963 Reconstruction
and Development Programme (RDP) houses for the residents of the area.
Last year the department allocated R200 million to women owned construction
companies for a period of three years to build houses. This was meant to
address the imbalances in the male dominated construction industry.
