The Minister of Home Affairs, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula will tomorrow (31
October 2006) round-up her Imbizo Focus Week activities when she visits the
Lehae La Bana orphanage in Winterveldt, Tshwane.
The Minister will hand over 16 birth certificates to children from the
orphanage in the morning, before hosting hundreds of community members for an
Imbizo on service delivery later in the day.
She will be joined by the Executive Mayor of Tshwane, Dr Gwen Ramokgopa and
other senior local leaders.
Consistent with the Home Affairs theme for Imbizo: "Your ID � the 1st Step
to Economic Empowerment," the Minister will also meet with women in stokvels
from in and around the area. Home Affairs Mobile Units will be deployed at the
Imbizo to provide much needed departmental services on site.
