Abidjan â South African Foreign Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma today, 16
February 2006, paid a courtesy call on President Laurent Gbagbo of Côte
dâIvoire in Abidjan the Capital of Côte dâIvoire.
Minister Dlamini-Zuma is in Côte dâIvoire as part of the International
Working Group on Côte dâIvoire scheduled to meet on Friday, 17 February to
assess progress regarding the implementation of the peace process in Côte
dâIvoire.
Addressing the media following the courtesy call on President Gbagbo,
Minister Dlamini Zuma indicated that she was "appraised by President Gbagbo on
the current political situation in Côte dâIvoire".
Minister Dlamini Zuma is scheduled later today to meet with the Prime
Minister of Côte dâIvoire Charles Konan Banny in the Capital Abidjan. Minister
Dlamini Zuma is leading a South Africa Government Delegation, which includes
the Deputy Director-General of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Duarte.
