Minister Dlamini Zuma scheduled to hold bilateral discussions
with Indian and Brazilian Foreign Ministers

New Delhi - South African Foreign Minister Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma will
hold bilateral political discussions with her Indian and Brazilian Foreign
Ministers later today, Monday, 16 July in the Indian capital of New Delhi.

Minister Dlamini Zuma is in New Delhi, leading senior South African
government officials' delegation from various government departments to the
India-Brazil-SA (IBSA) Ministerial Summit scheduled for Tuesday, 17 July, in
New Delhi.

Minister Dlamini Zuma is leading the South African delegation within the
context of consolidating the strategic political, economic and trade relations
with India and Brazil within the framework of advancing south-south
relations.

Minister Dlamini Zuma is on Tuesday, 17 July, further expected to meet with
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh before addressing the African ambassadors
and high commissioners based in New Delhi to brief them on African regional
developments.

Meanwhile, it's all systems go for preparations for the scheduled IBSA
Ministerial Summit. In this regard, the Ministerial Summit in New Delhi is
expected to discuss among others the deepening South-South dialogue and
co-operation within IBSA; assessment of achievements/failures thus far in terms
of the broad range of IBSA co-operation areas in technology, information and
skills transfers, social development, poverty alleviation and job creation;
discussions on the formation of a new sectoral working group within the area of
revenue administration; evaluation of the projects implemented through the IBSA
Trust Fund, as well as to consider new proposals.

In addition, the Ministerial Summit is also expected to evaluate the
progress within the fourteen working groups of IBSA that have been formed in
the following areas of sectoral co-operation: trade, information society,
science and technology, transport, energy, health, tourism, agriculture,
education, cultural issues, defence, social development, public administration
and climate change.
