National Offender Rugby and Volleyball event - Tshwane University of
Technology

The Minister of Correctional Services Mr Ngconde Balfour MP invites your
institution to witness the Offenders National Rugby and Volleyball event to
take place at Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria in Gauteng.
The Department of Correctional Services aims at giving offenders an
opportunity to learn and develop their skills, improve their physical
well-being and increase the level of participation in sports and recreation. In
the efforts for rehabilitation, sports and recreation assist in correcting
offending behaviour and promoting social reintegration.
The purpose of the event is to increase the level of participation of
offenders in sports and recreational activities and utilise sport as a tool to
focus on the correction of offending behaviour and the promotion of societal
responsibilities.
About three hundred and sixty (360) offenders, male and female from all the
provinces will participate in rugby and volleyball. Minister Ngconde Balfour
will award trophies, medals and certificates to all best achievers.
