Education MEC rejects bus operatorsâ claims

Gauteng MEC for Education, Angie Motshekga, has rejected claims by the
Scholar Transport Bus Operators that they will stop transporting learners when
the school reopens next Monday because of non-payment for their services.
"It is clear these bus operators derive pleasure in disrupting schooling in
Gauteng," said Motshekga.
The department will urgently try to meet with the bus operators to clear any
misunderstanding before schools reopen.
