Government will hold Cluster Media Briefings on the implementation of the
Government Programme of Action for 2006 in Pretoria from 26 â 29 September
2006. These will be third report back since the State of the Nation Address by
the President this year.
The publication of the Governmentâs Programme of Action was initiated in May
2004 when the government set out its programme for that year. The report on
implementation is updated in line with bimonthly cycle of report of clusters to
Cabinet. This will allow the public to continue to follow progress in the
implementation of the Government Programme of Action.
The briefings will take place at Government Communications (GCIS) and the
Union Buildings in Pretoria. There will be a video link-up with the Imbizo
Media Centre, 120 Plein Street, Cape Town.

Tuesday, 26 September 2006 (GCIS Room 710)
* 10:00 - 11:30 Governance and Administration Cluster (Minister Fraser-
Moleketi)
* 14:30 â 16:00 Social Cluster (Minister Tshabalala-Msimang)
Wednesday, 27 September 2006 (Union Building Room 159)
* 12:00 â 15:00 Release of the SAPS Annual Report, including crime statistics,
and Justice Crime Prevention and Security (Minister Nqakula)
The Economic, Investment and Employment and International Relations, Peace
and Security Cluster briefings are still to be confirmed.
