The MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture, Mr Ace Magashule, will host the Sport
Legends Awards ceremony to give due recognition to sport legends in the Free
State who have contributed towards the promotion of sport in this province. The
awards ceremony will be held as follows:
Date: 3 November 2007
Time: 18h00
Venue: President Hotel, Bloemfontein
Dress code: Formal
Sport legends will be awarded in the following sport codes: boxing, netball,
football, athletics, rugby and cricket.
157 nominees across these sport codes will be awarded by the MEC. The MEC
will further announce the contribution of sport equipment to the 90 schools and
hubs in the province.
