Media to be briefed on African Civil Aviation Commission's aviation

Pretoria - The President of the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC),
Mr Tshepo Pege, will address a press conference on AFCAC's initiatives to
address concerns of aviation safety in Africa on Monday, 16 January 2005, at
the Government Communications (GCIS) offices in Pretoria.

Details of the briefing are as follows:

Venue: GCIS - Midtown Building, Room 710, Cnr Prinsloo & Vermeulen Street,
Pretoria

The briefing will include steps that AFCAC is putting in place to improve
safety among African airlines, African civil aviation authorities and aviation
service providers, for example air traffic services, airport operations, etc,
in an effort to clamp down on unsafe aviation operations in the Continent.
There will be a video link with the Cape Town Press Gallery.
