The Minister of Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation, Ms. Lindiwe Sisulu, accompanied by the Deputy Ministers Pamela Tshwete and David Mahlobo, will be hosted in a stakeholder interactive session lead by the Business Fraternity in East London, on the 6 September 2019. The Session will be focusing holistically on the water crisis affecting their businesses and the economy of the province in the main.
On Saturday 7th September, Minister Sisulu will visit Clarkebury Mission, in eNgcobo to look into providing urgent solutions to the water challenges affecting the area. Minister will get a briefing on the long-term solution to the problem from the Water Service Authorities such as Municipalities, Department of Water and Sanitation and Amatola Water Board on Saturday, 7 September 2019.
The Minister will also pay a courtesy visit to King Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo at his homestead in Bubambane Great Place in Mthatha on Saturday before addressing the community of Clarkebury.
In her visit to Clarkebury, the Minister will be accompanied by her Deputy Ministers together with Chris Hani District Executive Mayor, Mayor of Ngcobo Local Municipality, Amatola Water Board CEO and DWS Officials led by Regional Head, Ms. Portia Makhanya.
The ultimate aim of this visit is to discuss at length critically issues with stakeholders as well as communities in paving ways of bringing water solution to the communities of Clarkebury.
