President Jacob Zuma honours OR Tambo's life and legacy during wreath laying ceremony, 27 Oct

President Jacob Zuma will tomorrow, 27 October 2015, participate in a wreath laying ceremony in Wattville, Benoni to honour and remember ANC President and liberation struggle icon Mr Oliver Reginald Tambo.

The ceremony will also celebrate the birthday of Mr Tambo, the longest serving President of the governing party, who was born on 27 October 1917.

In 2004 the City of Ekurhuleni conferred the Freedom of the City to Mr Tambo and his late wife and struggle veteran Ms Adelaide Tambo and declared the month of October a commemoration month dedicated to the Tambo's contribution to the struggle for human development, freedom and the advancement of the people of South Africa.

The ceremony will take place as follows:
