Deputy Minister Bernice Swarts, will lead DDM One Plan signing ceremony
Public Works and Infrastructure Deputy Minister Bernice Swarts, in her capacity as one of the District Development Champions appointed by the President, will on Monday, 16 October 2023, lead the signing of the Dr. Kenneth Kaunda District Development Model (DDM) one plan document in the North West Province.
The District Development Model aims to improve the integrated planning and service delivery across three spheres of Government.
Deputy Minister Swarts will be joined by other DDM Champions in the Dr. Kenneth Kaunda District, including North West Public Works and Roads MEC Gaoage Oageng Molapisi, Agriculture MEC Sebonta Desbo Moholo, Executive Mayor of the Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality Cllr. Nikiwe Num, Mayor of the JB Marks Local Municipality Cllr. Gaba Thithiba ka Qhele, Maquassi Hills Mayor, Cllr. Mzwandile Feliti and Matlosana Mayor, Cllr. Nonhlupheko Tsolela.
The signing of the document will include the participation of civil society, business and other sector stakeholders.
