Minister Marthinus van Schalkwyk to open inaugural Air Quality

Environmental Affairs and Tourism Minister, Marthinus van Schalkwyk, will
officially open the first Air Quality Governance Lekgotla on Monday, 16 October
2006, in East London.
The inaugural Air Quality Governance Lekgotla will see over 350 officials
from across government converge under the theme, "Gearing up for implementation
- Working together for cleaner air". The Lekgotla will focus on practical air
quality governance challenges facing all affected spheres of government,
especially municipalities.
