On Thursday, 16 August 2007 the Minister of Environmental Affairs and
Tourism will be designating 20 new Environmental Management Inspectors (EMIs)
or Green Scorpions from South African National Parks employed in the Table
Mountain National Park. The designation ceremony of these new EMIs will take
place at the Wash Houses in Upper Vredehoek.
The Minister will also be introducing the Department's newly published Guide
for Prosecutors on the Prosecution of Environmental Crime. This guide will be
made available to prosecutors across the country.
