Launch of Human Resources Plan for South Africa

Minister of Health, Dr Manto Tshabalala-Msimang, will officially launch the
much-awaited Human Resources (HR) Plan for South Africa at the Caesars Palace,
near Johannesburg International Airport tomorrow (Friday).

The launch of the HR Plan, which aims at addressing various challenges
facing the country in providing and retaining skilled health workers, marks the
World Health Day commemorations on Friday, 7 April.

The theme for the day is Working Together for Health. The activities planned
for the day will celebrate and recognise the efforts of the health workers who
work tirelessly often under trying conditions to care for the people of South
Africa.
