Health Minister Manto Tshabalala-Msimang will tomorrow, 7 August 2007 open
the Women In Partnership Against AIDS (Wipaa) summit as part of her efforts to
promote partnerships against HIV and AIDS.
The summit, taking place under the theme 'Leading the way to a world without
AIDS' will be attended by representatives from Non Governmental Organisations
(NGOs), Community Based Organisations (CBOs) and medical experts and comes
right after the release of the report on National HIV and Syphilis Prevalence
Survey. The summit will look into issues of accelerated HIV and AIDS
prevention, treatment, care and support and HIV and AIDS strategic plan 2007 to
2011 among others.
Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the summit's
opening.
