M Tshabalala-Msimang to address Free State National Reproduction Event
in Women's Month, 25 Aug

This year Qwa-Qwa in Thabo-Mofutsanyana district has been identified as one
of the places to commemorate Women’s Month.

It has also been the area of focus for strengthening women’s health
programmes. Being the nodal area, the event of 25 August will be viewed as one
where the national Department of Health, Free State Department of Health,
districts and the municipality highlights the health needs, concerns and
achievements of this community.

When: Friday, 25 August 2006, 09h00 – 13h00
Where: Charles Mopeli Stadium, Phuthaditjhaba, Qwa-Qwa

The theme for the occasion is: ‘Save the nation, strengthen reproductive
health’.

Reproductive health services include:
* maternity services
* neonatal care
* genetics
* contraception
* termination of pregnancy or top services
* cervical and breast cancer screening programs are also included.

gardening)

Minister of Health Dr M Tshabalala-Msimang is briefed by Ms Ramakotjo, Local
Area Manager. Delegation met by sister in charge, chairperson clinic committee
and local area manager.

Briefing on projects in waiting area of clinic. Visit of sewing project and
vegetable garden. Presentation of garden tools by Minister.

Depart for joint health walk.
