Metro and district mayors together with Gauteng Premier Mbhazima Shilowa
will brief the media immediately following the launch of the initiative to
build Gauteng as a globally competitive city region in the Gauteng
legislature.
The briefing will take place after the special joint assembly in sitting of
the province's public representatives in the provincial legislature to debate
the Gauteng city region strategy. The sitting, which starts at 10h00, will be
the first time that elected representatives from local and provincial
government sit together for a debate.
