The Office of the Premier is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon
Zwane as the spokesperson of Premier Mbhazima Shilowa.
Zwane is a seasoned government communicator. He was previously the
spokesperson for the MEC for Health from 2002 to 2006 and is a former
journalist. He worked for The Star and Sunday Times newspapers.
"I welcome the opportunity to join the Premier�s office and I regard it as a
challenge to contribute to ensuring that the government programme is well
understood by communities," said Zwane.
Gauteng government communication head, Annette Griessel, remains the
spokesperson of the Gauteng Executive Council and the Gauteng Provincial
Government.
