The Gauteng Provincial Government in partnership with the West Rand District
Municipality, Mogale City and the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site will
host the Provincial Heritage Day celebrations at Maropeng on 24 September
2007.
This is the second time that Heritage Day event will be hosted at Maropeng,
with its exhibition on the origins and evolution of mankind. Gauteng Premier
Mbhazima Shilowa will deliver a keynote address to the public. Other high
profile dignitaries including Members of Executive Council, Executive Mayors of
West Rand District Municipality and Mogale District Metropolitan Municipality
will attend.
