Statement on the suspension of senior o2fficials

Home Affairs DirectorâGeneral, Mavuso Msimang today, 10 September 2007
announced the suspension of two senior officials of the Department of Home
Affairs. The Chief Financial Officer and the Deputy Director-General: Civic
Services have been suspended with immediate effect from their duties pending
further investigations into their conduct. The department will not engage
further with the media in this regarding until such time as the process has
been finalised.
