department

16 August 2006

The recent nomination of the Department of Labour as one of South Africa’s
best top 300 national government departments for the period 2006/07, will help
to bolster the Minister’s programme of action and strategic plan for the
periods 2004 to 2009.

An ecstatic Minister Mdladlana said the nomination was a vindication of
tireless work by his officials, whose clarion call remains that of protecting
the most vulnerable of workers.

He said such accolades will go a long way in lubricating the staff morale
and ensuring that the department delivers on its 2004 to 2009 mandate beyond
expectations.
