In a sequel to two rounds of major discussions with social partners on
labour market policies, Labour Minister Membathisi Mdladlana will tomorrow
(Thursday) hold bilateral talks with the Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) in
Cape Town. The two series of roundtable talks on May 11 and June 26 this year,
had been convened by the Minister whereby labour market experts and social
partners, as well as the National Economic Development and Labour Council
(Nedlac) constituencies debated on the impact that labour market legislation
has on small business development and job creation. Tomorrowâs gathering
follows-up on those summits where submissions were made and areas of common
understanding identified for further research.
