Foreign governments to help South Africa accelerate
productivity levels

In a move aimed at uplifting the levels of productivity in South Africa, the
National Productivity Institute (NPI), the Pan African Productivity Association
(PAPA) and the Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) will meet at a roundtable
to be held in Sandton on Monday, 28 August 2006.

Labour Minister Membathisi Mdladlana will deliver the keynote address at the
event, meant as a build-up towards marking October as productivity month.
Dignitaries from all walks of life, including those from the business
fraternity as well as delegates from foreign governments are expected to
attend. The Japanese government has committed experts to reside in the country
for the next five years in a bid to bolster productivity levels.
