Deputy Minister Malusi Gigaba responds to the needs of the
needy

The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Malusi Gigaba, will on 29 September
2006, visit the Ndondakusuka Municipality's KwaSithebe Industrial Area, on
KwaZulu-Natal's North Coast, to bring government services closer to the
people.

The Deputy Minister will be accompanied by representatives of the Umsobomvu
Youth Fund and the local municipality. As part of his commitment to the
creation of a better life by eradicating poverty and creating work, Mr Gigaba
will register people for and deliver enabling documents to help fast-track
their registration for social services and job creation.

As a member of the caring government, the Deputy Minister has dedicated all
his energies to the simplification of service delivery. Consistent with his
desire to create a better life by bringing services to the door steps of the
people, the Deputy Minister will also deliver 20 computers to a nearby school
to enable the community access to information.

As part of this project, the Deputy Minister has arranged for the training
of a tutor that will provide basic computer literacy to the people of the area.
The project is yet another indication that the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs
is truly committed to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor.
