The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Malusi Gigaba will embark on a two-day
visit (22 and 23 February 2007) to the Limpopo province as part of the broader
departmental plan of visiting all Home Affairs offices to get first-hand
experience on challenges hampering the process of service delivery.

the beginning of the programme late last year.
The plan is part of the department's comprehensive programme to ensure that
correct systems, procedures and capacity are deployed to the benefit of all
members of the public. The plan will go a long way towards ensuring the
delivery of correct documentation to the right person in the shortest time
possible in line with Batho Pele guidelines.
The Deputy Minister will be accompanied by senior management from Head
Office.
On 22 February, the delegation will spend the entire day providing
departmental frontline services to the public.

Office from 08h00, and Polokwane Regional Office from 13h00.
On 23 February between 08h00 and 16h00, the Deputy Minister will meet with
all managers and staff of the province to discuss their role in the
implementation of the national strategy of the department and further asses if
