The Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism will be
launching the Limpopo Dipudi on Wednesday, 15 February 2006, at the Mokgopong
Co-operative Core Estate in the Mokgopong Municipality. This project is being
co-ordinated in collaboration with the departments of Agriculture, Health and
Social Development.
The Mokgopong Core Estate was established by unemployed agricultural
graduates with the assistance and support of the Municipality and is being
managed by Agri-Consultancy, which is also responsible for training.
The main objective of Limpopo Dipudi is to develop the traditional goat
farming sector into a modernised industry using the latest technology. âWe hope
this initiative will go a long way in the creation and building of sustainable
economy for the provinceâ.
