The Minister for Agriculture and Land Affairs, Lulu Xingwana and Deputy
Minister Dirk du Toit invite members of the media to a briefing breakfast where
the report of the panel of experts on the development of policy on the
regulation of ownership of land in South Africa by foreigners, will be released
to the public for comment.
The event information is as follows:

The report was presented to Cabinet, who approved it. The process with
regards to making effect on Cabinet decisions is that the report be made
accessible to the public of South Africa for perusal and response.
A 30-day window period will be given to the public to respond.
Critical stakeholders have been invited to the launch, who will assist the
department with engaging their membership to solicit their responses to the
document. Thereafter a series of activities in the provinces through MECs will
ensue to encourage dialogue in constituencies, as a means of getting responses
to the report.
The responses will be recorded to form part of the policy-making process
towards regulating ownership of land to foreigners.
