The Director-General of the Department of Communications, Ms Lyndall
Shope-Mafole, will lead the presentation for the Departmentâs state of
readiness for the 2010 FIFA World Cup to the Portfolio Committee on
Communications on Tuesday, 31 October 2006.
Ms Lyndall Shope-Mafole will be joined by the executive managers from the
South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and Sentech.
The presentation will be held as follows:

Time: 14h00 to 16h30
The presentation will focus on the progress of preparations and how the
Department and these institutions will ensure that the country is ready for the
broadcasting challenges of the 2010 World Cup.
