KwaZulu-Natal to present Adult Literacy Campaign, 25 May

Lessons learnt

The Masifundisane Adult Literacy Campaign is one of the vehicles to be used
by the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) Department of Education and the Office of the
Premier to make more than 1.9 million people literate by 2008.
Superintendent-General Cassius Lubisi, who is leading the national ministerial
committee on literacy, will present the KZN Department’s plan to wipe out
illiteracy in a seminar. This plan is based on the Cuban model and “Lessons
Learned in Countries like Cuba, Venezuela and New Zealand.”
