Education
9 October 2007
Approximately 50 matric students from two schools in Shallcross and two
schools in Eshowe have had their Typing and Computing examinations postponed
after the entire areas were hit by power failures today (9 October 2007). The
Department of Education has reset the paper and will look at each individual
candidate's timetable to find a suitable time for the learners to write the
examination.
Apart from the power failure the matric examinations in KwaZulu-Natal kicked
off smoothly. The paper with the largest number of candidates will be written
tomorrow when 126 404 learners will be writing English Second Language.
