Gauteng MEC for Agriculture, Conservation and Environment Khabisi Mosunkutu
showed his support to the annual Rand Show by visiting during its opening
weekend and interacting with members of the community.
Kick-started on Friday, 30 March and ending on Sunday, 15 April 2007, this
year's show promises to be more fun-filled than ever. Held under the theme
'Bring Everyone,' a whole bunch of new features form part of this year's
entertainment and education line-up.
Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Environment (GDACE)
together with other Gauteng Provincial Government departments are once again
exhibiting extensively at the show taking information to the people and
arranging edu-tours and activities for kids and their parents. The GDACE stand
is situated at Hall 5 within the GPG pavilion.
The 17-day show is held at the Nasrec Exhibition Centre and tickets are sold
at R45 for adults and R25 for children under the age of 12. Entrance for senior
citizens is free if they produce a valid identity. Secure parking is available
at R15 per vehicle.
