Gauteng MEC for Social Development Kgaogelo Lekgoro will present the
departmental budget vote for the 2007/08 financial year on Tuesday, 19 June
2007. He will also speak about milestones of the department for the midterm and
plans for the remaining term to 2009.
The budget speech will provide key priorities for the department since the
migration of social grants administration to the South African Social Security
Agency. He will also indicate plans for the development of early childhood
development centres and the registration processes.
