The MEC for Social Development in Gauteng Kgaogelo Lekgoro, will hand out
uniforms to poor children as part of the Bana Pele programme.
The 2007 roll-out of the programme started on 10 January and was launched in
Atteridgeville, Tshwane.
To date the Gauteng Department of Social Development has handed out uniforms
to 13 683 beneficiaries. The MEC will hand out more uniforms to 248
beneficiaries at two schools on Friday.
