Merchant Shipping and other Maritime Transport

Minister of Transport Jeff Radebe, on behalf of the South African
Government, will sign an agreement between South Africa and India concerning
Merchant Shipping and other Maritime Transport related matters on Thursday, 23
March 2006, in Cape Town.

The agreement aims at regulating and developing commercial maritime
relations ensure effective co-ordination in shipping as well as to contribute
in the development of commercial and economic relations between South Africa
