Tshwane, Hammanskraal - Transport Minister, Jeff Radebe, together with
Gauteng MEC for Transport and the Executive Mayor of Tshwane will host the
Shova Kalula Bicycle Handover Campaign at the City of Tshwane Metro Police
Station in Mandela Village.
The Shova Kalula Project is part of the Non-Motorised Transport Strategy and
initiative that will be rolled out by the Department of Transport.
The strategy aims to meet delivery targets in line with the resolutions and
action plan of the African Transport Ministers' Summit held in Addis Ababa
earlier this year, to rollout the distribution of one million (1 000 000)
bicycles throughout the country by 2015.
