You are invited by the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) to the
launch of the National Operations Centre (NOC) in Pretoria on Wednesday, 22
February 2006, 12h30.
The National Operations Centre will serve as the central management point
for operational and electoral issues and a focal point for political parties,
government, business leaders and the media to gather during the voting,
counting and results phases. The centre will operate 24 hours on Election Day.
The centre will be open from 07h00 on 1 March until late in the evening of 2
March, when it is expected that the majority of election results will be
in.
