Municipal ward by-elections will take place in the Eastern Cape,
KwaZulu-Natal and North West on Wednesday, 27 September 2006, the Electoral
Commission said.
A total of six wards will be contested. Voting will take place in 37 voting
districts in the following wards:
* Eastern Cape: Ward 3 in EC136 � Emalahleni (Lady Frere) Municipality with
3,859 registered voters; Ward 11 in EC141 Elundini (Mount Fletcher)
Municipality with 3,086 registered voters and Ward 27 in EC153 � Qaukeni
(Inquza Hill) Municipality with 3,851 registered voters
* KwaZulu-Natal: Ward 4 in KZ292 � KwaDukuza (Stanger) Municipality with 3,752
registered voters
* North West: Ward 7 in NW405 � Merafong City (Carltonville) Municipality with
3,746 registered voters and Ward 13 in NW372 � Madibeng (Brits) Municipality
with 6,494 registered voters.
