Icasa to conduct Radio Pulpit hearing, 20 Sept

Hearings into Radio Pulpit's application for a sound
broadcasting licence

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa) will
conduct hearings into Radio Pulpit's application for a community sound
broadcasting licence. Radio Pulpit identifies itself as a non-profit religious
broadcasting organisation which had been using South African Broadcasting
Corporation's (SABC's) Radio 2000 transmitters, using an SABC licence until 31
December 2006. Further, the station has been transmitting on the 657 KHz
frequency band in Gauteng province.

The hearings are scheduled as follows:
