Southern African Development Community (SADC) region to discuss the impact of
convergence on ICT policy and regulation

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) delegates from across the
Southern African region will gather in Johannesburg for a workshop on the
impact of convergence on the ICT policy and regulation. The delegates include
representatives from the regulatory institutions, the industry and other ICT
stakeholders. Amongst those who will address the workshop are Communications
Minister, Dr Ivy Matsepe-Casaburri, Icasa Chairperson, Paris Mashile, Director
of NetTel@Africa, FF Tusubira and many more.
The workshop, organised by Communications Regulators' Association of Southern
Africa and NetTel@Africa and hosted by Icasa
will cover a range of issues from regional harmonisation in a converged
environment to policy and regulatory barriers. The details of the workshop are
