Gauteng MEC for Public Transport, Roads and Works, Mr Ignatius Jacobs, will
unveil the Gauteng 2010 Legacy Projects today, Thursday, 3 August 2006.
The plan will outline a consolidated portfolio of current and forthcoming
projects on roads and other socio-economic infrastructure aimed at
strengthening the capacity of the province for the hosting of the global
sporting event, in four yearsâ time.
The media conference will also focus on job creation opportunities for
historically disadvantaged communities flowing from the massive investment on
infrastructure.
