Health to host National Modern Wound Care workshop, 19 to 21 Feb

The National Modern Wound Care workshop

The national Department of Health invites you, to attend the National Modern
Wound care Workshop at the Birchwood in Gauteng.

The National Department of Health has partnered with the Denosa and The
World Union of Wound Healing Societies to bring you up to date evidence based
training to empower nurses to participate in scientific multidisciplinary
approach to wound care. The national Department of Health is committed to
improving infection control capacity in general, in this instance with specific
reference to wound care and wound healing.

The workshop is targeted at wound care specialists, infection control
officers, infection control lead nurses, surgical ward nurses, burns unit
nurses and other officers who have wound care as their direct
responsibility.

All pertinent information is detailed below.

Date: Monday to Wednesday, 19 to 21 February 2007.
Venue: Birchwood Hotel in Gauteng, near the OR Tambo International Airport.

Programme: The programme includes lecture presentations, practical sessions,
problem based learning exercises, and case studies. National and international
Wound care specialists will present the programme.

Deadlines: The deadline for booking for registration will be 12 February
2007. Registration forms must be faxed to (012) 312 0507 or (012) 312
0503.
Accommodation must be booked directly with the Birchwood Hotel at phone: (011)

The national Department of Health will only cater for the venue, teas and
the lunches. Arrangements for accommodation and supper will be on the
delegate's facility account.
