The Department of Health and representatives of various sections of the
private healthcare industry are to meet in Midrand tomorrow, September 21, to
discuss measures that should be taken to reduce the cost of private healthcare
in the country.
This one-day Private Health Indaba will be officially opened by Health
Minister, Dr Manto Tshabalala-Msimang and it will receive inputs from various
sections of the private health sector including:
* private hospitals
* health funders and insurers
* pharmaceuticals
* devices and health products
* health professionals.
The media is invited to the opening session of this Indaba which takes place
as follow:
