Awards

The Department of Health will on Friday, 10 November 2006, honour health
workers and health institutions who have demonstrated excellence and innovation
in providing health services to the people of South Africa.
Prizes will be awarded to health workers according to their professional
categories including nurses, doctors, environmental health workers and
community health workers. The awards categories are:
* The Cecilia Makiwane Award (Nurses)
* Alfred Nzo Environmental Health Awards (Environmental officers)
* The Marilyn Lahana Trust Caring Award (Nurses)
* The South African Medical Association Merit Awards (Doctors)
* Hospital Association of South Africa Awards of Excellence
* District Best Practices 2006: CITATION
