Clarification of issues relating to poverty trends

In light of media enquiries and the discussion currently taking place in the
media on trends on poverty following the report on the matter by the South
African Institute of Race Relations, government wishes to clarify some of the
issues around findings on poverty in South Africa, in particular aspects that
tend to be overlooked.
