The draft environmental reports on the proposed route variants in Hatfield,
Centurion, Salvokop, Marlboro and Sandton have been released for public comment
for a 30-day period.
A public meeting will take place at 18h30 on Monday, 30 January 2006, in
Sandton at Parkmore Scout Hall, Holt Street.
The other public meetings are:
* Centurion: 31 January 2006 at Lyttleton Old City Hall, Napier Avenue
* Tshwane: 1 February 2006 at Tshwane City Hall, Pretorius Hall, cnr Visagie
and Paul Kruger Streets
All meetings will commence at 18h30.
The draft reports on the proposed route variants are available on http://www.gautrain-env.co.za and can be viewed at 11
public venues. All comments received on the draft report will be addressed and
submitted to the Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Conservation and
Environment (GDACE).
