Howard Ndaba has been appointed as the new spokesperson for the Gauteng
Department of Health.
Ndaba joined the department from Telkom South Africa, where he was a public
relations officer. Before that, this former Independent Newspapers staffer was
a media liaison officer for the Free State Department of Agriculture. He
obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Wits University and post-graduate
diploma in Journalism and Media Studies from Rhodes University.
His brief includes handling the media, writing speeches for the MEC and
managing the production of the departmental internal and external
publications.
"I am honoured and pleased to be given this opportunity to act as a link
between the department and the public. Interacting with the media has always
been my passion," said Ndaba.
